PRIME GLOBAL EXPAND THEIR SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM

The Prime Global Group is expanding its senior leadership team with the appointment of Victoria Boswell-Smith, PhD, as Vice President of Client Services, based in their London office. Victoria will be leading Core Medica Ltd and Paragon Medica Ltd whilst current VP, Katherine Kibble, is on maternity leave. Victoria will also be providing support to Onyx Ltd, the Group’s rare diseases agency.

PRIME GLOBAL APPOINT NEW PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Return of the Mack

 

Prime Global is delighted to welcome the return of Christine McCann in the newly created role of People Development Director. Christine began her medical communications career at Prime Global in 2001 and now has extensive industry experience. She is re-joining the Prime Global team brimming with energy and knowledge across many therapeutic areas.

Christine commented on her new position: “I strongly believe that a well-trained, highly performing workforce is a company’s most valuable asset. Prime Global are continuing to invest in their current and future employees – they really do put People First. It’s great to be back!’

Christine’s remit will include driving our Learning and Development Programme for all employees across the Group’s five worldwide office locations. Also, in 2018 Prime Global will launch its dedicated Graduate Development Programme for entry-level writers and client services employees, providing new recruits with a thorough grounding in all aspects of the art of science communications.

Graeme Peterson, Prime Global CEO, stated:The appointment of Christine McCann as People Development Director marks the start of another exciting period in our ongoing global expansion. On Sunday 28th May, 22 of our Manchester colleagues will be representing Prime Global in the Great Manchester 10K Run.

As The Beatles famously sang, “it was 20 years ago today…” Well, not quite, but 1997 did see the establishment of Prime Global, with just one employees. Now we have over 100 people across three continents and we’re still growing. To celebrate our anniversary, we’ve set ourselves another challenge as part of our on-going programme to give something back to charities close to our hearts.

Lost, but not Alone – Dare to be Different

During my first week of living in Manchester, I ran into a woman who would be considered “special”. It was one of those grey, cold and simply miserable winter days. As it was rush hour the Oxford Road was full of cars and pedestrians; everyone was busy. She was only dressed in her night gown. It was clear that she wasn’t really aware of her surroundings as she mostly mumbled to herself. However, there were moments when she seemed to feel the eyes of passers-by and shouted “Don’t patronize me”. I behaved like everyone else and ignored her, mostly because I didn’t know how to react. In May, the mental health awareness month, I sometimes wonder whether she got back home alright.
